Step by Step Guide to Checking in Guests
Welcome guest and ask for their name or booking confirmation.
Confirm their room type and number of people in the room, this is a chance to quickly shuffle or upsell them if their room is not suitable.
Print guest registration card.
Collect personal details as per your companies policy. We suggest at a minimum; Mobile, Email, Company, and the City they live in.
City that they live in over time will create a map of where your customers are coming from.
It is good to understand what the guest is travelling for and mark this in their profile notes.
Take payment for the booking. As a general rule you want to run cards through the eftpos machine. By putting the guests card through the payment machine you reduce the risk of Chargebacks - learn more about Chargebacks
Go through key property features, and policies and get ask them to sign the registration card.

Organize when they would like their room serviced
Provide them a few suggestions for dinner or activities to do in town if they are a leisure traveler.
The Check-in stage is an opportunity to build rapport with your guests and also to cross check details to ensure everything is correct.
